Arthur J. Hannus,
Chairman/CEO
At the age of 23, Arthur Hannus
became the youngest burglary
detective in the City of Chicago
Police Department. After serving
thirteen years and receiving
many awards, Mr. Hannus left
public service for the private
sector.
During his twenty-five years
of service in the in the contract
security industry, Mr. Hannus
has become a well-known and
very successful manager and
businessman throughout Illinois
and northwest Indiana.
In addition to his duties as
Chairman/CEO of American Heritage
Protective Services, Inc., Mr.
Hannus is actively involved
community organizations: Chicago
Police Memorial Fund, Leadership
Cabinet; St. Michael's House,
Director; The Executives' Club
of Chicago; Illinois State Crime
Commission, Director; Chicago
Southland Chamber of Commerce;
Illinois Association of Chiefs
of Police; South Suburban Chiefs

Memorial Fund, Leadership Cabinet;
St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare,
Founders Circle.

Paul J. Stellato,
Vice President/COO
Paul Stellato joined AHPS from
Urban Security Services Company
of Chicago, where he served
as President. While serving
as Director of Corporate Security
for the Tribune Company, Mr.
Stellato achieved national recognition
for his service as a Charter
Member and Chairman of the International
Standing Committee for Commercial
Real Estate for ASIS, the largest
professional security trade
association in the world.
In addition to his work for
ASIS, Mr. Stellato has been
active in the Building Owners
and Managers Association of
Chicago, and the Association
of Threat Assessment Professionals.
He is a member of The Executives’
Club of Chicago.
Mr. Stellato was responsible
for planning and successfully
implementing the largest security
operations strike plan in U.S.
history when he served as Crisis
Director for the Tribune Company
during the New York Daily News
newspaper strike.
Stephen J. Pollak,
Executive Vice President
Mr. Pollak is a graduate of
the Federal Bureau of Investigation
(FBI) National Academy (162nd
Session) and the Northwestern
University Traffic Institute
(NUTI) School of First-Line
Supervision, and has extensive
experience in both the public
and private sectors of public
safety and security. He served
25 years with the Mokena (Illinois)
Police Department, holding the
position of Chief of Police
for last 14 years of his career.
His public sector responsibilities
also included serving as Risk
Manager for the municipality.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science
in Education degree and a Master
of Science in Criminal Justice
and Corrections Degree; and
is a licensed Security Contractor
and licensed Private Investigator
in the State of Illinois.
