Executive Vice President, Stephen
J. Pollak, MS
Steve has been associated with American Heritage
Protective Services since its inception, as a
shareholder and staff member; before assuming
his current responsibilities as a full-time member
of the AHPS Executive Team.
Before moving into the private sector, Steve had
a lengthy tenure as a public servant, first as
a teacher at A.A. Stagg High School (District
230) in Palos Hills, Illinois and then fulfilling
a boyhood dream of becoming a police officer.
He served a total of 25 years as a decorated member
of the Mokena (Illinois) Police Department, having
risen through the ranks and culminating his public
service career by serving 14 years as Chief of
Police.
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Criminal
Justice, a Bachelor of Science degree in Education,
and Steve is a graduate of the 162nd Session of
the FBI National Academy. He is an active member
of many professional and fraternal organizations.
His notable affiliations include the Executives
Club of Chicago, Past President of the Will County
Association of Chief’s of Police, Past Executive
Board Member of the Illinois Association of Chief’s
of Police, Past President of the Illinois Police
Association (South Division), and Past State Executive
Board Member of the Illinois Police Association;
and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
