American Heritage participated
in the 1st Annual 5k Run/Walk, "Run
To Remember," sponsored by the
Chicago Police Runners Club and benefiting
the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.
"Run To Remember" took off
from the Gold Star Families Memorial
& Park located along Lake Michigan
on the east side of Soldier Field
on Saturday, April 30th. This activity
is one in a series of events to raise
funds to erect a memorial to honor
Chicago's fallen police officers.
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation
is a not-for-profit organization dedicated
to honoring the lives and memories
of our fallen police heroes. The foundation
also offers support and assistance
to the families of Chicago Police
officers who have sacrificed their
lives in the line of duty.
